Micronesian Presidents’ Summit 2025
To be hosted on the 21st – 23th July 2025
Kiritimati Island, Republic of Kiribati
The Government of Kiribati is honoured to host the Micronesian Presidents’ Summit (MPS) 2025, a significant regional gathering of Heads of State and Government from the Micronesian region. This year’s summit will take place in the pristine and strategic location of Kiritimati Island (Christmas Island), one of the world’s largest coral atolls and a treasured part of the Line Islands in eastern Kiribati.
The Micronesian Presidents’ Summit serves as a high-level platform for dialogue, regional solidarity, and collaborative decision-making among the Presidents and leaders of the Micronesian subregion. Key discussions will focus on:
– Strengthening regional cooperation and integration
– Advancing sustainable development and climate resilience
– Enhancing regional security and connectivity
– Promoting collective advocacy in international forums
The 2025 summit will bring together leaders from the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Republic of Nauru, the Republic of Palau, and the Republic of Kiribati. It represents a reaffirmation of shared values and mutual commitments to safeguarding the future of Micronesian communities.
Hosting this summit in Kiritimati Island underscores Kiribati’s commitment to inclusive development and regional unity, while also offering delegates a unique experience in one of the Pacific’s most remote and ecologically significant locations.
We look forward to welcoming our Micronesian brothers and sisters to our shores in a spirit of partnership, respect, and shared Pacific identity.
